U.S. stocks looked uncertain over Thursday trading session as Wall Street indices ended the session mixed.
🇺🇸 Dow 30 ended the day down by -45.74 points or -0.13% lower to 34,945.47. While 🇺🇸 S&P 500 closed higher and up by 5.36 points or 0.12% to 4,508.24 and 🇺🇸 Nasdaq added 9.84 points or 0.07% higher to 14,113.67.
Sentiment look mixed as investors continue to digest recent economic data of 🇺🇸 In the week ending 11 November, U.S. Initial Unemployment Insurance Claims rose to 231K compared to previous figure 217K according to Department of Labor.
There are no major U.S. economic data on Friday, though traders might be interested in Building Permits (1-mth) from Census Bureau to be released at 8:30am (New York Time). Analysts are expecting lower forecast compared to previous report.
What happened lately
– 🇺🇸 U.S. Industrial Production (1-mth) in October dropped to -0.6% compared to previous figure 0.1% (revised from 0.3%).
– 🇺🇸 U.S. Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Survey in November below forecast and improved to -5.9 points compared to previous figure -9 points in October.
Wall Street Top Gainers, Losers and Active Stocks
Top two gainers in the last trading session include Nice Ltd ADR (NICE) as the stock surged 8.97% to 195.15 while Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc (ARCO) added 8.54% to 11.44.
Losers include Leonardo DRS Inc. Common Stock (DRS), erasing -11.21% from its share price to 18.46 and Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO) dropped -9.83% to 48.04.
Elsewhere, most active counters were Tesla Inc (TSLA), Intel Corporation (INTC) and Cisco Systems Inc (CSCO).
